P90X - Day 36 - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps and ABs!

Crap today sucked....I woke with a sore throat and although I tried to fight it off with some sinus rinses and some antibiotics, it tore me up during our workout tonight. I pushed through and matched or better'd everything I did last week, but afterward, I am feeling SPENT! Fever, bodyaches, chills, etc, etc....Took a little late evening trip to Urgent Care and talked to the doc about what was ailing me and also a bit of YogaX as he was into Yoga....amazing who you'll converse with about this stuff. Anyway....I'm going to try to get some Power X Rest tonight....Luckily NO STREP!

In the name of Jesus Christ I stomp on the head of this attack and pray healing over myself....I bind this pain and fever to be tossed back to the pit that it came from. ~ amen!

Light meal for me tonight, am going to see if I can cool off a hot bath....

P90X - Day 35 - X Stretch

Ahhhhhh.....have I had a week. But after a week like that, XStretch definetly helped. Today Christina and I cashed in a much needed Christmas gift and went and got a couples massage. (wasn't the best one I've had, but still)...the combo of that and some stretching will hopefully do the soreness some good before tomorrow's repeat. I'm thinking that our Xtreme Rest last Friday led to some of the soreness this week, so I'll choose Stretch every time.

Tonight I created a new marinade for some Tuna Steaks...

2 - 8oz. Tuna Steaks
Juice of 6 Small Navel Oranges
1/2 Cup Cilantro Leaves
2 Tsp Ground Ginger
2 Habenero Peppers
Pinch of Salt & Pepper

In a sauce pan, combine the OJuice, Cilantro Leaves, Ginger, Salt & Pepper. Put small slices in the Habenero Peppers and put them in the Juice. Heat to a boil for 5 minutes. Remove the solids by straining.

Pour Juice over the Tuna Steaks and let stand for 30-60 minutes.

Heat grill to HIGH, place Tuna on the Grill and grill to taste....I like mine medium well so about 5-6 minutes per side.

P90X - Day 34 - KenpoX

Gosh...I don't know what the deal is, but this week seemed like a really tough week. I am so-re. If you can make 2 syllables out of sore! My back, my legs, my biceps...its all hurting this week. Tonight we had Kenpo, and I just wasn't into it as much....I pushed hard, but with everything hurting, I just didn't want to throw a tight kick and pull a hammy..... Looking forward to tomorrow night and just spending some time stretching.

Today was quite a busy day, working on a huge network proposal and fighting with slow going processes....But...had a great Men's LifeGroup at lunch and just enjoyed soaking it in. Great discussion.

That is all for now....Kenewayne...I'm going to work on my Corpse Pose tonight....really going to concentrate on relaxing my face and eyes.

P90X - Day 33 - Legs & Back & AbRX

What a day....busy busy busy....

With a full day at work I also decided to type up a 6 page document for LifeGroup tonight and I didn't start the document until 3:30 only to be done and printed by 5:30.....ahhhhhh. But what a great lesson. I started, what I thought would be 2 weeks, but will more than likely be a 3 week series on Scripture Meditation...wow, what an awesome start!!!

With that, we hit the TV Gym at 9:45 to do Legs, Back & Abs....and gosh! We definetly know that we better kill that at lunch time on Wednesdays!!! Real proud of Christina, she dropped the bands tonight and went to the foot assisted Pull Ups!!!! Way to go!

Well, its late, and I'm spent....going to enjoy my recovery drink and my DVR'd episode of American Idol...

P90X - Day 32 - Yoga X

Well today was Yoga. Yoga was today. Started the Yoga DVD up to Warrior 1 and jumped ahead to Triangle Pose....(shorter version of YX)....And, yes, I cut the end short too....but I think I'll work heavily on the "Fetus Pose" tonight...hopefully for 8 hours. I will admit, I enjoy the flush out during Yoga, but it is not my favorite DVD.....

All is well. Short post today, but....I can't say much about YogaX.

With that, we start a 2 week lesson on Bible Meditation tomorrow....looking forward to LifeGroup.

P90X - Day 31 - Back & Biceps and ABRIPPER

Noice!!! I liked this one. What a great, rag arm, workout! Do yourself a favor and take Post Day 31 pictures instead of Day 30....hehehe....After doing Back & Biceps, the pics will look really nice. These are the days that'll keep you pushing "PLAY>>>" Lots of curls, curls, curls....then, throw in some pull ups!

Hope everyone had a great SuperBowl Sunday and kept it healthy...."I know I did!"

Christina did a great job tonight, increasing some weight....She is really getting a lot of results from this. Looking really good...(I mean better!) I still have more of my warming layer to get rid of, but am seeing the progress. I'm ready for my "Chuck Lidell" belly to have some babies, but there is progress to be seen.

Yoga X tomorrow....hmmmm.

Forgot to post Dinner!

Tonight I prepared some Lean Top Sirloin with light Kosher Salt, Pepper, and the Coffee Rub Seasoning posted below. Grilled on High for around 5 minutes on the first side....when I flipped it I took the Grilled Peppers posted below as well and smothered the steak with them and let it finished grilling to Medium. Removed the Steak and let sit for 3-4 minutes and dug in. Man o man, that was a great steak!

Also prepared Grilled Asparagus....light oil, light salt & pepper....

Good stuff!

P90X - SuperBowl Menu

Yes...even a SuperBowl menu can be healthy!

Last night we had some folks over, so I got to thinking how boring it would be eating healthy!!! HAHA! But....NO....I'm going to grill it up.

Decided to make Chicken Fajitas...Grill Style!

Started with Chicken Breasts and Made a Carribean Jerk Seasoning:

Corriander
Ginger
Cinnamon
Pepper
Chilli Powder
Paprika
Garlic Powder
Caraway
Cumin
Cayanne


Juice of 2 Limes
Juice of 1 Sm Orange
Olive Oil

Lightly Brush Chicken with Oil
Squeeze Limes and Orange coating the chicken
Dust the Chicken with the Jerk Seasoning

Heat Grill to HIGH!!!! Grill the Chicken Until done....5-7 minutes per side.

Red Onion & White Onion Sliced 1/2" Thick
Lightly Oil...Light Salt and Pepper
Grill on High Grill until almost clear in color

3 Bell Peppers
2 Anaheim Peppers
1 Pablano Pepper
Lightly Oil Peppers and Lightly Salt & Pepper them.
Grill on High until charred.

Remove all from the Grill....Slice Up.

Heat some LOW CARB Corn Tortillas and Enjoy!!!

Add some fat free cheese and you are good to go!!!!

P90X - Day 30 - PLYOmetrics!

Sweat factory....oh my. Much needed flush out, but that is truly the "Mother of the X"....things are good and so glad we got that out of the way before the Super Bowl. Plyo hurts, but is starting to go by as fast as KenpoX. Took some 30 day pics today, but am going to have to get them on the computer to take a close look at the results. I see it in the mirror, but not sure if its a drastic enough change (yet) to post em up. Maybe at day 60....we'll see - ;-)

Going to grill some chicken, peppers, and onions for the game tonight, with some low carb corn tortillas. Usually I'm grilling up some awesome sauces and salsas, but we're sticking with the NutritionX soooooo....we'll ease off this year. Most of the stuff is pretty healthy, but there is a bit of oil in it and its too early in the game to add this.

Time to enjoy the game but as I'm a huge BEARS fan, it'll just have to be semi-sweet. I think I'll pull for the Cards though. I like Warner....so....
