P90X - The New Eating Lifestyle

I don't want to call this a "diet", because as with the new Fitness Lifestyle so too is the food we are eating going to change.....I can tell you that if you eat well for 90 days there is no way you're going to feel like eating a big, greasy cheeseburger....that would make you feel like a saturated fat ball....no thanks.

Anyway....what I do recommend though is: LEARN HOW TO GRILL!!!

There is so much better flavor and any fat in your food that you grill is going to drip into the fire instead of staying in your food...

We've chosen to kind of balance out all 3 ways of the food....Eating the right portions, Getting the calories from the recommended foods, and also planning our meals out so we can get groceries once or twice a week. Its working and working well.

The meals are going something like this:

Breakfast: Protein Shake - Skim Milk, Protein Powder, Berries, Banana, Ice.
Mid Morn Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Chef Salad - Meat, Lettus, Tomato, Avacado, Fat Free Cheese, Fat Free Ranch and Pepper
Mid PM Snack: Protein Bar or Cheese or Flavored Rice Cakes
Post Workout: High Protein Recovery Drink (I recommend this)(within 30 min of workout)
Dinner: Grilled Fish (salmon, orange roughy), Grilled Chicken, Grilled Pork Loin, or Grilled Sirloin AND.....Grilled Veggies (Onions, Squash, Zuccini, Asparagus) AND Rice or FF Cottage Cheese. I use very little Olive Oil brushed on...and use some really good, savory spices. Yummy.

With this diet in these early stages both my wife and I have both dropped at least 5 pounds in 1 week!!!!

The next phases of the nutrition guide simply start to add carbs until it becomes a balanced day of eating.

Great Food with a great Fitness Plan. They have to go together. If one doesn't match the other....neither will work!!!
