P90X - Day 50 - Cardio X

Alllllright.....Day 1 of "Rest" Week....I'll call it Core Week. Again opting out of Yoga, we went hard on CardioX....and I mean HARD. That work out is all good. I did try to jump higher and higher on the jump shots (memories)....but I kept hitting my hand on the ceiling, so...back to normal after I started laughing a bit. And yes, the Wacky Jacks were Grrreat!

Today I woke up about 5:00AM...WHY??? I was starving....I got up and read Daniel 1 -3 and laid back down and slept maybe 15 minutes more....woke up, did the normal Donut run for the boys and came home and decided to add a scrambled egg w/ ham wrap to my protein shake...it hit the spot and did last longer...I gotta do something to curb this feeling of hunger all of the time. I haven't felt the need to eat like this the whole time...why now?

Oh well....Core Synergistics tomorrow....feeling good.

P90X - Day 49 - Legs, Back & Abs

Nice workout today, but I could feel the fact that we rearranged this week...All in all it was pretty good....the boys were in and out inturrupting, but we pushed through, all they way to my favorite calf raises!!!! I don't know what it is, but I love em....Today I backed off from 30 lbs in each hand to 25 and decided again to go airborn on the last 10....(it is P90"X" right?)

OK...now to the problem I'm suddenly having this week....I have been starving all week. I haven't changed a thing, but I can eat and an hour later I'm starving. Is my metabolism getting back to the same when I was but a young lad??? I don't know if I can afford the groceries if thats the case...hmmmm.

Well....its been a busy, busy week and a tough one at that! It was a real blessing though to finalize our scripture meditation class on Wednesday. Its hard to balance everything, but with God, nothing is impossible!

Tomorrow starts Core Week....1 more week until Phase III begins. Oh my! Seems like yesterday we began. I'm so ready to press on.

P90X - Day 48 - Kenpo X

Well again after a loooooooong day of training, I got home tonight just in time to get changed and run a quick errand and roll on to our oldest son's basketball game....finally getting home to immediately go into Kenpo at 9:15PM....Man, that one is fun. This time we skipped one of the breaks just to push ourselves a bit harder. I'm getting to a point now where I feel like the 4 folks we're watching are going too slow...what is wrong with me? Am I.....closer to being...."in shape"????? Could it be?

All of the sudden, I'm really starting to see some definition in my forearms...really liking that. I did have to go get my wedding ring sized and believe it or not, I lost 1 1/2 sizes!!!!

And...and..I think I'll call it official....I am under 200 pounds!!!! I WEIGH UNDER 200!!!!

Awesome. Ready to keep bringing it!!! But...also ready for some sleep!

P90X - Day 47 - Ab Ripper & X Stretch

Today being busy busy, we decided to flip our Stretch Day with our Legs, Back & Ab day....But...we decided to throw in Ab Ripper X to get started.....So with that we did Abs and then through in the X Stretch to finish it off....not to mention we started all of this at 11:10PM....ugh. Christina and I both busted through the exercises....Heels to Heaven is the only one I'm hitting short on....but it'll come.

After 10 hours of training today and then having to come home, set up chairs and then teach LifeGroup, I knew up front there was no way to squeeze in the Legs & Back and do it any real justice.....so...we'll push that to Friday.

But, WOW...what an awesome study tonight...we finished out lesson on Scripture Meditation and the 4 levels of Biblical Understanding and then led everyone through a practice of Proverbs 3:3-4.....my favorite. Once that was done we handed out words, topics, or even key scriptures for everyone to begin to meditate on....Now we will get started on lesson topics around who we are in Christ. I can't wait.

Kenpo X tomorrow....ready to keep burning that warmth layer. Then Legs, Back & Abs on Friday.

P90X - Day 46 - CardioX

Isn't CardioX just fun??? That is full of high heart rate, sweat your butt off, bring it heat! Again we have went from the YogaX day called for in the guide and went with Cardio X....getting the yoga out at the beginning is great....still doing the venyasas and kicking the sweat into gear. Tomorrow we are going to pull in our StretchX day (night) as after a full day of training then teaching LifeGroup in our house, we are in no way going to try to bust out Legs & Back....As this is our last week in Phase 3, it'll be better than having StretchX and then Week 4....

Not too much tonight, I'm spent....my brain hurts and I am really sleepy....(also have to cook and get my oldest to BasketBall Practice)....

Take Care.

P90X - Day 45 - Back & Biceps and AB Ripper X

Yyyyyyes!!!! If the last one was money, this one is the gold representing the money....We really pushed hard tonight. After a mundane day of nothing but boring training, I was ready for some excitement. Tonight I upped a lot of weight on stuff like the "lawn mowers" and "Cogden Locomotives"....Nice! Pushed so hard, I can barely curl my Recovery Drink!!! And then came the Abs!!!! Tonight, I need to know, what got into us? I did em all....and all of them I did! Maybe, just maybe its because......WE ARE HALF WAY THROUGH!!!!! Oh the joy!

I can tell you the results are really starting to show....on me. Christina has shown results for a while now. I think I'll throw away the manzier and officially call these "pectorals"...HA.... (I really didn't own a manzier!)

Well....more crappy training tomorrow and then we'll hit the CARDIO X!!! Its getting fun again!

Out.

P90X - Day 44 - PlyometriXXXXX

Goooodnesss! Day 44 was a tough one today. I grilled some lean steak today with onions and peppers for a healthy version of steak fajitas....after letting that settle a bit, I took a little Sabbath Nap. Then....hit the Plyo. Ugh...peppers were re-tasty. I'm never going to say that Plyo is easy, as the more you squat the more it burns. I did match the dude in the back again in doing some double time knee lifts. Arrrgh.

Tomorrow is half way for us and I am excited to say that!!! Congratulations Christina!

This is the start of a really busy week though as I have a week of training to go to and have a week of sales to complete at the same time.....craaaap. Our lesson is already written for Wednesday's LifeGroup, but I know the Holy Spirit will always have something fresh to add. Then Thursday, I'm going to try to break away from training to be at the ribbon cutting ceremony for our new Worship Center at Church!!!! How exciting. The latest number of members at our church is 8,500 and I'm so excited to have a chance to reach out to more and more people so they can experience the love at Trinity Fellowship. We're finally moving into our 4,000 seat Worship Center and it is awesome.

Until tomorrow!!!
