Wow!!!! Check your pride at the pause button...this day is tougher than nails. If you want the definition of "tight"....look at my arms. I was really looking forward to starting this, but back to the unknown. The slow motion and moving pushups are killer and if you normally use a lot of weight on triceps....drop some. You'll want to. OK...now that I'm done whining....I now know why these next weeks yield lots of results.
Abs were awesome today....I did all 25 of the wide leg situps and did 40 each on the Oblique V-ups!!!! I'm starting to see a big Ab sticking out....now its time for it to have some baby abs.
Salmon tonight....Plyometrics tomorrow!!!!

Well...today just didn't happen for the Stretch X, but I did do some Xtreme Resting. Tomorrow is a new day and a new phase....I am so ready to bring it.
Had a great meal tonight....grilled some Pork Loin...(recipe below).
Have another co-worker who has jumped into the X....he is now on day 4 (Yoga X)....we'll see if he hates it too....HA!!!

P90X - Day 27 - Yoga X
Wellllll....today we did a shortened version of YogaX....our oldest son had a basketball game tonight so we only had an hour to do Yoga....X style. We did most of each set, and all of the Yoga Ab 7.....ya gotta do the Abs! Still brought it and with the X Style....Wow....1 more day and phase 1 is in the books....This is awesome.
I have never felt so good....
Last night we started our LifeGroup and it was awesome! God was present in a mighty, mighty way. This is a season to press in and come to the Throne Room more than ever. There is an identity crisis amongst christians today and its time to know who we are in Christ....It is time to let the old man die...as we are no longer a slave to sin....Exciting times!

P90X - Day 26 - Core Synergistics
UGH!!!! Went home for lunch today and "Engaged" my core! I think now that lunch time is not a good time to work out. Just don't feel it...Maybe I need more that just the morning stress to take into it....must need a whole day of work to really get worked out. Not that I don't feel it, OH quite the contrary....that workout is brutal. My heart rate was way high today and although I really appreciate the focus of Core Syn, I was really tired at the end. I guess its what you put in to it.
I had a request in the comments section for some grill recipes....as this is a P90X blog, I don't want to divert anyone backwards in their healthy eating as I have some wonderful sauces and marinades...but if you are reading about Day 26 and are on the Fat Shredder portion of the Nutritional Lifestyle Plan, you don't need those....but. For 24 of the last 26 days I have grilled out (even in the last 2 night's 4 degree temps)....If you are eating meats and veggies, I find that grilling is the healthiest way to go....
1st Grilling tip....your grill only has one setting (HIGH)....Stop adjusting the temperature. A High temp on the grill seals in the juices......So here goes:
Grilled Pork Loin
1 Pound of Pork Loin
Bobby Flay's Coffee Rub Seasoning:1/4 cup ancho chili powder
1/4 cup finely ground espresso
2 tablespoons Spanish paprika
2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1 tablespoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons ground ginger
2 teaspoons chili de arbol powder
1 Small Orange
1 Lime
Olive Oil
Heat grill to.....HIGH.
BRUSH a tiny bit of Olive Oil on the Pork. Then..cover in the Fresh Orange & Lime Juice.
Dust Pork with the Coffee Rub Seasoning.
Once grill is hot, place the pork on....Grill for about about 10 minutes each side.
Remove and let stand for 3-5 minutes.....slice and an angle and serve.
For Veggies...
Zuchinni & Squash....cut in half...BRUSH Olive Oil on lightly...light Kosher Salt and Pepper...
Put on Hot grill (flesh down)....after about 7 minutes, flip to skin...when the pork's done or a bit before, so are the veggies.

P90X - Day 25 - X Stretch
It is days like this that you can look forward to!!! A good 1 hour stretch of the whole body....Oh yeah! Of course this week it is the Calm Before the Storm II......as Core Synergistics is again tomorrow. But...I'm just going to relax and enjoy the results of this stretch and try to sleep well tonight.....
Tomorrow is a new day and a new beginning to another LifeGroup in our home....I was given a word of "Harvest" today from a friend, and as we discussed it agreed that God is going to deliver what we need to Harvest for him....Preparation is key, which just ties into "working out" our salvation. Just as we start to see results as we work out more and more, the same holds true with our Knowledge of Jesus...the more we work out, the more He works in.
Just remember....relax and breathe.
P90X - Day 24 - KenpoX!
Oh yeah...what a release. Kind of a stressful day at work today as we had some brass visiting from HQ and they were looking for answers....Had to stay a bit late and finish up a proposal for a picky customer, so I was looking real forward to coming home and beating the crap out of the air....and Kenpo X was just the answer. I really enjoy this workout and love to add some extra bounce in the punches....I jumped around so much enjoying the workout that Christina started to get a bit annoyed with me.....
This week I'm noticing some more leaning out in my core and have dropped a couple of pounds. Good stuff.
Tomorrow is a good Stretch X day and time for me to get to preparing to teach another semester of LifeGroup in our home. Working out has actually given me a great plan toward teaching as
Philippians 2:12 says - Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
So ready to get deep into God's word this semester and start another workout!
P90X - Day 23 - Core Synergistics
Can someone lend me a shopvac???? I need one to vacuum up the sweat off my yoga mat. Wow...now that is non-stop, in your face, core, core, core...Although we did watch Core Synergistics prior to doing it, we still were a bit nervous, but overall it was just another really intense workout. Definetly focused on core and blood flow. My-oh-my does it get your heart rate up. I can definetly see that this will result in nothing but good....after the burn is over.
The meal plans are going well....tonight Christina and I are going out with some friends to celebrate a birthday, so we'll see what a resturant has for us to eat to maintain our plan....we are really being strict on this plan so we can make it a normal thing.
Day 24 Tomorrow....this is flying by. I think tomorrow is Kenpo X!!!
